The crème de la crème of all handbags, the Birkin’s history is legendary. The chief executive of Hermes was seated next to style icon Jane Birkin on a plane in the 1980s when Jane complained of never having a weekend bag that was sizey and practical – so he designed the perfect bag for her and named it in her honour. But the perfect bag doesn’t come easily, with Hermes producing only a limited edition each year and waiting lists stretching into years - for those who can obtain one at all.

Features: glossy veau box leather with rolled double top handles; gold plated hardware; lock and hanging clochette; flap top with leather strap closure and rotating clasp; leather interior compartment with interior zipper pocket and slip pocket.

Measurements: 40 cm (length) x 21 cm (width at base) x 30 cm (height at body).

Condition: Excellent condition – only used a few times. The original structure has been maintained with no structure loss at all to the silhouette. The exterior glossy leather is in excellent condition with only the odd very light scratch and light small indentation (both only noticeable on very close inspection). The hardware is in excellent condition with the odd light insignificant scratch only. The interior is in excellent condition.

Comes with: Original Hermes dustbag; original lock with keys; original Hemes box (box has a little wear from storage).

Shipping & Returns

Australia: FREE Standard Post, Express Post $19.95. Orders by 12pm AEST weekdays ship same day; after 12pm ship next business day. Fully trackable with signature; no PO boxes or parcel lockers.

International: $100 via Express International Post (FedEx for USA) with signature. Buyers cover any local taxes or charges.

Change-of-mind returns for bags and wallets are accepted within 7 days if unused with tags attached. A $50 restocking fee applies per item, and return shipping/insurance is at the customer’s cost. Watches and jewellery are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
