Chanel Maxi Jumbo XL Classic Flap Vintage

First introduced in 1955 in the Coco Chanel era, the Chanel classic flap bag is one of the most iconic handbags ever made. Made from Chanel’s durable calfskin leather, with a chain and leather interwoven strap, this gorgeous bag is as classic Chanel as it comes.

Features: Quilted black calfskin leather exterior; gold tone hardware; leather and chain interwoven strap which can be worn as a single long strap or a doubled-up shorter strap; rear exterior slip pocket; CC turnlock entry to lambskin leather interior; interior zip pocket and slip pocket.

Measurements: 35 cm (length) x 23 cm (height to body) x 11 cm (width) x 33 cm (strap drop when doubled over) x 63 cm (strap drop when single strap).

Condition: Great vintage condition. The exterior leather has been well maintained, with light wear and the odd light mark throughout, and light crinkles in the leather (see photos) as commonly occurs in vintage bags. There is moderate rubbing to the bottom corners from normal use. The strap presents very well overall, with only light wear to the chain and some areas of light rubbing to the leather part of the strap. There are some areas of loss of gold tone to the eyelets. The CC turnlock has light to moderate wear (see photo), although still presenting very well. The interior is clean and is in great condition, with only light wear and light scratches to the interior.
