Chanel 2.55 Reissue East West Puzzle Flap Bag Patent

The Chanel Reissue Bag is a true French classic, re-released in 2005, having been initially designed by Coco Chanel herself in 1955. This is the bag from which the Classic Flap was born, and was indeed the first handbag to be carried by upper class woman on their shoulders. The patent leather adds a luxurious touch, whilst the black shade is easy to style. A classic closet staple, the Reissue is truly a timeless piece.

Features: Black crinkled patent leather exterior with puzzle quilting; antiqued gold tone hardware; chain sliding shoulder strap which can be worn as a single strap or doubled over; rear exterior slip pocket; top flap with signature mademoiselle turn-lock; patent leather lined underside of the top flap with interior zip pocket; front and rear slip pockets between exterior and interior; inner flap with snap closure to main compartment; burgundy lambskin leather lined interior with 3 x slip pockets.

Measurements: 22 cm (length) x 14 cm (height) x 7 cm (width) x 27 - 50 cm (shoulder strap drop).

Origin: Made in France.

Condition: Great condition. The leather exterior has a deliberately crinkled appearance and is in great condition with slight softening to the structure at the base, and some even fading to the colour throughout. The hardware, including chain strap, shows moderate gold tone loss throughout, however the impact of this is lessened due to the deliberately antiqued appearance of the hardware. The underside of the top flap shows little wear, while the top of the inner flap shows light rubbing from contact with the strap hardware. The interior is in great condition with light wear and the odd faint mark only.
